Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I am just a few months ahead of you. Survival stories like ours are inspirational to others. Like you, this DX for most is a complete and utter shock and because AML is a relatively rare cancer finding peers and positive outcomes is so difficult. That is why support groups like this are priceless. The fact that you are living a normal life traveling, working and LIVING, is so helpful to others to read.
Please celebrate putting this demon behind you and give thanks to almighty God because he cares for you!!!!
Blessings,
Julie
