Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

My doc has said I can go home for Christmas for a few days so I'm so excited about that. Haven't been home in over 2 months. Day 59 right now, and things have been going great with me.
Hugs to all
I would rather fight aml than be struck dead instantly by a car crash or heart attack. Having time to show other love and to fight is a privilege not all have.
A co-worker of mine is paralyzed from the neck down due to a malfunction of an inversion table the day after thanksgiving.
At the hospital today, while getting labs, I learned of a couple who are facing sct at the same time. One for mds and the other for lymphoma. There but for the grace of God, go I.
Last year at this time, I was still recovering from nine months of chemo and could not go out in public. Now I'm working full time, teaching parttime, attending candle light services and shopping like crazy.
Plus I'm planning for my family's Europe vacation in June, God willing. I know I had an easy aml experience compared to others and I'm grateful for that.
Good does not give us anything He can not handle. When we are weak He is strong and his power is manifested. I am so grateful too be alive and pray everyday for each of you and for the privilege of raising my previous daughters.
God bless you all
