Thanks for the update -- we love good news here. Chemo is no fun but as you get out away from it the really bad things tend to subside in your memory. Let's just continue praying that you have reached the end of that stage of things for good and you will soon be getting on to life as normal (whatever that is). -- daveB

I was wondering if you feel up to it, if we could talk? I am very much interested in lessons learned and advice while it is so fresh in your head. If so, I can provide my number.

We are driving across the country on our way to Stanford, and have quite a bit of time in the car. Inpatient starts for me on the 7th of July.

John, this is a good source to check out for your upcoming bmt and will give you the opportunity to speak to someone that has been through it before, usually from the transplant center you will be treated at. I just started volunteering for them.

I would absolutely talk to you about my experience. I will provide my cell phone (502) 644-3560. Here at vanderbilt as long as you are doing well most is outpatient. I spent a total of four nights in the hospital. Vandy is one of very few hospitals that do this. Many have to spend more time because of fevers. I was extremely lucky thanks to God.

Hey everyone. Just to let you guts know my day 30 biopsy came back clean and I'm 100 percent donor. Plate are dropping for some reason but they don't seem to concerned.

That's great news Scott. 100 day milestone is huge and 100% donor even better. Don't sweat the dropping platelets, mine took a dramatic drop around the same time and was back up again a week later. Thanks for the update and keep doing what you're doing.

Congratulations on the 30 day results. Platelets tend to go up and down the most important thing is a clean biopsy and 100% donor cells, great results.
