Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everyones support and love. I joined the group back in August when I was diagnosed and everyone has helped me so much.
I can honestly say im not happy about having to deal with AML,who is, but, it has opened my heart to GOD and I have met so many loving and kind people. I wish I could personally give everyone a hug. Heres my internet hug to you guys :)

My heart is still with Robbie Meade and those whose families have lost the battle to any and all illness. I continue to fight in Monica Meade's name.

May 2013 bring us closer to cure for AML.Good luck to the many that are starting 2013 with a transplant. I truely hope it is your new beginning.
To the many that have completed their treatment I wish a return to normal life.

I am having 30 people over for lunch and am happy that for now I am healthy and have the energy to entertain my family and friends.

Stay possitive and have a merry, merry Christmas. Wont beleive me.... but last Christmas, I was in chemo, and though, I had one of the best Christmas in my life, quiet, feeling happy to be in remission. God gave me that peace which I try to keep every day.
