I'll try not to make this too long and boring!
Heavy drinker off and on pretty much all of my life.
Hubby and I of 31 years drank together pretty much every night until he got a scare with his liver.
He abstained for three months and then the doctor cleared him to have one or two drinks a week.
He stayed with that plan very well until we recently had two long trips.
Then he was off to the races again too!
We had a long talk about it last night.
He supports us cutting down but does not want to abstain completely.
So last night instead of getting highly buzzed as is my usual I just had a few.
Can this work?
I saw it work for other people I know.
So anyway right or wrong this is where I am for now.

But it does not solve everything.
I still seem to need my crutch.
wish I could just say NO to my urge to drink and just be happy without it.
I have accomplished many things in my life against many odds.
But nothing ever feels good enough.
You are going thru a lot in your marriage. Easier said than done I know for sure...but make a plan in your head for a year from now not to be with your husband anymore.
He is on the road driving all the time...he can take care of himself obviously and doesn't need you to take care of him. Ask yourself..how are you really taking care of him anyway? He isn't feeling the love and passion you crave either or you guys would be connecting....
Just make a plan....your too young to be this unhappy and to let it continue into old age.:(
