Acromegaly Support Group
Acromegaly (from Greek akros "high" and megas "large" - extremities enlargement) is a hormonal disorder that results when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone (hGH). Acromegaly most commonly affects middle-aged adults and can result in serious illness and premature death. Join the group to discuss symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments.
I quite agree. Keep bouncing!
I'd say you're a keeper! Sorry that you have anything that resembles acro, but glad you're getting some answers.

I keep thinking low carb will help me prepare for surgery...so maybe we should start a support group for "Acros & Pseudo Acros on Atkins"--or the APAA.
Happy for you it's not Acro. In our family tree, you are now the most close cousin :)
I googled "mediated pseudo acromegaly" and didn't find much.
Could you please explain what it is ?
Are insulin levels too high ? Too low ? Both at different times ?
How does it affect GH release ?
Thank you.
