I have only sleep apne.
My Doctor says, I am Acromegaly. His suggestion is the operation for beging.
I've been getting Sandostatin LAR injections for 2 months.
I am going to visit surgen tomorrow. I will say that, I want to have transsphenoidal surgery 6 months later...Is it normal or losing time?
I would like to hear also your comment and suggestions...

You need an experienced surgeon who has done many transsphenodial surgeries on the pituitary. There is no particular hurry to get the surgery as these tumours do not grow quickly, and you are taking Sandostatin, though the surgeon will probably offer you an earlier date.
I felt immediately better after my surgery and sleep apnoea disappeared!
I am still seeking total resolution as my IGF-1 is still elevated (though my my GH is OK), and I did not tolerate the injections. Currently I am on cabergoline and am awaiting results to see if this has controlled the IGF-1.
I notice your prolactin is a little high; cabergoline can help with this if this is still the case after surgery. However, of course surgery may fix it!

I have just discussed my tumor with my Surgery. She is the best at Cerrahpasa University in Istanbul,Turkey. She is expert on surgery of pituitary or hypophysis.
She advice me to get surgery as soon as possible. She said that, I have high chance (approx 70%) to get rid of Acromegaly. Because it is micro adenoma. In fact, it is not good for me. I wanted to hear more chance than this ratio with micro adenoma! It is not macro! But she said, it is next to artery:(
As a result I will get in surgery in August...

I have not achieved 100% remission with surgery, but I am much, much better than I was.
