My normal days on a scale of 1-10 pain level are a 4-6, bad days are 7-8 and really bad days (just stay in bed days) peg the 10 mark. Last April I had a full hip replacement due to excessive bone growth on the femoral ball in my left hip that was grinding on the hip socket and actually causing my hip to dislocate. Ortho says he's 99% sure it's a direct result of the Acro......now the right hip is becoming symptomatic.
Along with the joint and bone pains, I get a lot of just plain old muscle pains to go with it. At first I thought it was something I did (pulled, bruised, etc., etc..) but when I started keeping a daily log of symptoms and activities, I realized there was little correlation.
About 12 years ago I started doing basic Tai Chi (Basic for Beginners and Elderly) on the recommendation from a colleague who found it helpful his Rheumatoid Arthritis greatly. I do it 3 times a week and it does help keep my joints more limber and mobile and helps keep my muscles elongated..... it's very low impact.
