so pleased for you, Pegvisamont seems to be the drug that is getting great results, but so hard for people to get, my daughter tried all the others with little change in her levels, went on to Pegvisamont and a month later like yourself normal, I just hope more people can get this medication.

I remember the first shot of drug and I could feel the cold..before all I could feel was hot..I kept saying to people I can feel cold..to others its taken for granted being able to adjust to temperatures..Also when I had normal stamped on my notes Im sure people looked at me when I kept saying Im Normal Im normal..Even my doctor smiled with a raised eyebrow..Its wonderful news to us..for myself Ive rebuilt myself from a zombie extra to who I am now and its an achievement.to walk my dog..to going out and just being able to sit through a film its brilliant for me..Biggest biggest hugs to you and heres to you kicking ass of this conditon..biggest smiles for you ever.

You must be feeling so relieved that your levels have dropped so dramatically - they could drop even further to bring you within the normal range, or maybe this is the top of the normal reference ranges.

Really good to see some good news and another person who has successfully been able to the drug and responded to it.

I guess according to the lab, 384 falls within the normal range, but according to my research it is either too high still or on the tail end of the curve. I'm meeting with her tomorrow to discuss moving forward, and I'm going to suggest upping the dose to 15mg, since I'd prefer my IGF-1 to be within 1 standard deviation of the mean. I'm a perfectionist, what can I say? We're also going to reduce my sandostatin from 40mg (two giant needles) to 30mg (one giant needle), since I'm having some side effects from that.

I think it's horrible that this drug exists and people aren't able to get it. Is it mainly the NHS? I've always been such an advocate for universal healthcare over here in the US, but after hearing everyone's stories on here, I'm a little unsure. Although, after spending five years without insurance and unable to even buy my own health plan, I still think our system is worse...

I too learned that as of 2 weeks ago my IGF-1 is for the first time in the normal range and I am feeling such relief. I am three doses in (monthly self-injections) on Somatuline Depot at 90 mg. So far so good!

I remember my first normal results after 18 year. I was on cloud nine and no one could bring me down. congratulations!!
