I am a female, mid-20s, recently underwent a lot of tests after feeling exhausted with headaches and just not like myself. An MRI showed I have a slightly enlarged pituitary. However, contrast showed no tumors. After more testing, found I had a flagged IGF. Went to an endocrinologist and had my IGF flagged higher. Took the OGTT and suppressed it after 1 hour. However, my IGF was even higher at the beginning of this test. My symptoms are headaches, exhausted, acne (never had it until now), Strong jaw pain (I have TMJ, but it's like my bite has changed), sore joints, snoring, random skin tags, and abnormal menstural cycle. My family and friends are concerned because my test results are seemingly steadily increasing. However, the doctor just wants to wait and have another MRI within the year because I "passed" the OGTT. I have also heard to OGTT can be unreliable even in people who have been diagnosed with acromegaly. The prospect of having my body grow randomly, especially my heart, is unnerving. That's why I am writing this here, does this sound familiar to anyone else?
