has anybody been pregnant with acro??

i have been told by my endo that if we want to have more kids then i will have to have the op to remove the tumour. which i kinda dont like the sound of he is happy that my levels are fine with me on somatuline autogel and says that he doesnt want me taking drugs while trying to get pregnant. but i have heard that some ppl have been on drugs while pregnant and baby has been fine.
has anybody been pregnant while on drugs for acro and what was it like??im hoping to find one that wont harm baby.
hopefully the tumor has shrunk and i wont have to worry about it. (hope being the main word there)

I don't know for sure if I was, Flouncy. When I look back at how things happened I think the Acromonster was definitely active at least withina few years after the birth of my last child. I hope you can get some answers. This sounds like some exciting things are in the works in your life........... LOL (for Lots of LOVE as much as for the other meaning ;-)

i know i must have had it when i was pregnant with both my kids. as a year before i had my first i put on 14 lbs. and in the last 5 years 70 odd lbs. crikey thats a lot. 6 stone all together i cant work it out without a calculator...lol. but my first was fine but i had pre eclamsia in the stage of pregnancy and had to be induced. and with my second he has only one working kidney, ( multicystic displastic kidney disease) phew long words...lol so he has to have an op now to take his none working kidney out as its not shrinking away. the docs say that its not because i have acro. but i cant help but blame myself. a friend of my hubby just said go for it without the op kids are so much fun. but im so scared of well s to speak making a baby unhealthy just because i want one. i dont think that would be very fair. crikey i did babble on didnt i :P

Have you ever had a doctor say that Acromegaly is to blame for your son's kidney condition? If not, you stop blaming yourself RIGHT NOW. It doesn't do anyone any good. It doesn't change his condition and sure doesn't make you feel any better and you have more than enough on your plate as it is, don't you? I have a daughter-in-law who is pregnant right now and she almost died and her first baby was clincally dead at one point before reaching one month of age. She has a pretty serious condition but the docs at Cleveland Clinic who look after her gave her the OK to conceive again. (She's due in June and has very close scrutiny this time with the specialists in Cleveland and with a DIFFERENT local ob-gyn) Too bad, you couldn't have someone flat out tell you to go ahead and have a baby so you could just get on with it and not worry about it.
