I am now off my lecithin completely (5+ months after last Somatuline dose!) as my digestive system no longer appears to be reacting to the consumption of fat. I was on holiday last week, and ate pizza, waffles and ice cream! Even a week before, this would have been risky.
The lecithin certainly seemed to have helped.
I was taking about 5 - 10 ml of lecithin (a teaspoon or two) twice a day, tapering down to one a day with my meal in the evening, at the same time as trying to introduce more fat into my diet. I don't think will be needing it any more now.
Incidentally, my GP suggested that I might find that cutting back on dairy products may help, as lactose intolerance is quite common and can happen at any stage in life. So I am still on soya milk in the morning with my cereal, but back on a more normal diet the rest of the day.

The same advise was given there by many acro sufferers : when you begin Somatuline or Sandostatine, stop eating dairy food, you will have less nausea and diarhea.
I began a diet without dairy and Gluten 2 months before diagnostic and it helped also for joint pains and sweating.
During the 3 months of Somatuline, every piece of cheese brought diarea.
I didn't test the Lecitine for gall bladder. Instead took artichoke and black radish (either fresh vegetable or supplement in dietetic stores). Another advise found on french forums. Found it helpful.
Sorry the answer conc. diary and gall bladder, but not Lecitine. Hope it's not out of your topic.
