Hi All,


Has anybody taken Cabergoline? My IGF-1 levels have been steadily creeping up since surgery 3 years ago so have been put on Cabergoline tablets.

Yes I am currently taking the max dose and mine is still creeping up as well. I haven’t had any bad side affects with them other than headaches. But we are use to them! The next thing will be injections. Good luck.

Yes Tom, Taking Cabergoline along with the monthly Sandostatin jabs.
I can't say that I noticed any particular side effects and the IGF-1 is a steady high normal. Been on it now for 3 -4 years.

Yes my husband takes .05 3x’s a week.
Keeping IGF -1 normal range. He has been taking it for about 4 years.

My endro started me on Cabergoline 7 weeks ago .5 a week its been horrible I have every side effect you can get my prolactin numbers were 32.9 before surgery after they drop to 6.3 well in the normal but my IGF-1 was still a little high 284 so I guess he’s trying bring it down with the Cabergoline. I'm now worried that the Cabergoline has drove my prolactin numbers into to ground will know in 2 weeks. My side effects constipation, dizziness, headaches, decrease in urination, and very tired. Also have the jitters in my hands, like when I hold a glass which I never have had that, was always solid as a rock no shaking. Another thing I noticed is my vision had changed it was better after the surgery it’s blurry now. Also my back has been killing me since I started on the Cabergoline, Also dream and think about sex 24 -7 and the worst part is I’ve developed erectile dysfunction which I never had a problem with before the Cabergoline I feel dead downstairs. I'm assuming my testosterone has dropped it was in the bottom range anyway before the Cabergoline. Cant what to get off this and try something else!
