It's time for my husband to get his first MRI after his surgery a year ago. All signs point to no reoccurrence. The neurosurgeon wants him to get the MRI done run by the hospital. I'm not sure yet how much we will have to pay 30% of whatever the contracted cost is with insurance. But no one will give me a price yet.
Last year he just got one at a stand up MRI place and we were charged 425.00. But the neurosurgeon said it wasn't a good image. But they were able to detect the 9mm tumor.
So, can I get suggestions on if I should go to the MRI place the neurosurgeon recommends that could potentially cost a couple thousand or go to another place???? Any help is appreciated.

My neurosurgeon says he spends twenty five per cent of his time correcting misreads of MRIs....I was a victim of a misread.....see my posts below.
