Not to be dramatic, but I had a shock this morning that made me was to write a note of caution here. I was reading the front page of our local paper and saw an article about an accident with a wall heater. As I continued to read, I realized, it was someone I knew.
It was about a malfunctioning gas heater that asphyxiated my friend and his wife from carbon-monoxide poisoning, they suspect. They both died in their sleep. Both in their 50's. And their pets.
So on your holiday shopping lists, if you have gas heaters or furnaces, pick up a CO2 detector, for yourself or a friend. A smoke alarm is not enough. I know I am.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

So Sorry for the loss of your Friends... What a Terrible thing, I too had about Died myself due to the smae thing, and the only saving grace I had was there was someone in the other side of my home, and when I clapsed, I happen to grab a Lamp on the way down, and the friend heard it & I hit the floor and managed to get me outside before it was too late... I try and remember that when I forget how lucky I am to be here...
Thanks for the caution... I have one in one end of the house, but think I would like to have one in the other as well.. I have gas heat, gas dryer, gas hot water... So YEAH.. 2 wouldn't hurt... :0)

It didn't help, but I was thankful to see the shelves that held them were almost empty, when I got ours. The local fire department was saying they are as important as smoke detectors. So am just trying to pass on the word.
I am happy ot hear you survived a malfunction. Thank you for the prayers for their families.
