Yasmin did NOT clear up my face and it made me suicidal. Short trip though, as I am Bipolar.

I like Ortho Tri Cyclen for a birth control that is proven to help with acne.

I just saw a commercial on TV how yasmin was not safe, and you should call your lawyer to get compensated if something happened to you because of it....xD

oralie....don't you know there are lawyers only out to make money off whatever they can? i've been on yasmine for 3yrs now and not one problem. just like any other medication it has it's risk but not more than other birth controls. this has really helped my acne.

I'm on dianette, and tried going down to yasmin, but my spots all came back! :(

can someone send me info on dianette??? diane35??? haven't heard of it......

I was prescribed yaz (which is the same as yasmin) for my acne and I feel like it helps some but not as much as I would like it to. I still get really bad acne like a week before my period starts.

Diane 35 works great for my acne but it is not a birth control pill. It's actually a drug used against androgenic problems and it also functions at a contraceptive. The disadvantage is cyproterone's effect on the liver(amongst others). That's why I was thinking of switching..I went to the doctor, they told me to try Yasmine but weren't sure it would make my acne come back..
Right now I'm on a break and I will start next month..probably on Diane 35...

I tried dianette.. then after6 months did yasmin.. but no am back to trying dianette again. Ive tried everything. Fed up now.
If this dont work im going to try and not drink milk or much dairy..

I'm on Yasmin and it was helping a lot when I first got on it, I've been on it quite a while now and my bad acne is back.

I take birth control and it makes no difference to my skin.
Its still very much acne.
