I hate going in public because of my acne.

I've suffered from acne for about 6 years now. Over the years it's gradually gotten worse and worse, but I've been using Murad Acne Complex Kit which has helped wonders by preventing future breakouts. However, I'm currently in high school and dealing with multiple things at once. The amount of stress I've been under has been making my acne a whole lot worse. Does anyone have any advice on helping out with the whole acne situation? I've tried nearly every home remedy you could think of and we can't afford a dermatologist. It's getting to where it's a struggle to get up in the morning and go out in public because I don't want people to see my face.

well i dont get much acne on my face mostly on my back but iv noticed keeping lighter clothes on and being in the sun more helped so im guessing you shouldnt put any makeup on and use alcohol and a light oil free sun screen. also with stress try working out or having a day or just an hour or so just for you to relax. it usually helps.

hi, I too suffer with adult acne, have you tried the chickpea and turmic with lemon juice and water, you make a paste put it on for 15-20 till dry them warsh it off with warm water, i been using it for about 3 weeks,it seems to be helping to dry them out,my girls use it they noticed a difference,BUT use it only 2x a week, look up turmic

Hey there...i feel you :(
I skipped school today because i developed a huge cyst on my cheek.
Anyway.. it is okay to feel down sometimes BUT acne does not define your beauty nor your character.Remember that it is not your fault and if someone thinks the opposite you do not need them in your life!

Maybe you should get some time off, relax. But you can know for sure that it will pass over time, one day you're gonna wake up and realize that this it's not so important

I just wrote a post very similar to yours as I just joined this forum. I have the same issues going out in public and am CONSUMED with thinking EVERYONE is looking at my face and thinking I'm dirty or a drug addict or something because of the cystic pimples dotting my face. I feel ashamed and panicked and am SO sick of trying to cover them up with makeup. But mostly I'm sick of constantly thinking about my skin in every instance of life and avoiding days Or nights out because I can't bear people looking at me and me wondering if they're thinking "WTF"about me being 31 years old with ACNE. I cry about it a lot and feel like every area of my life is effected by this problem. It makes me tremendously anxious. I feel you.

PS. I'm on birth control pills and spirinolactone and hope it will kick in soon. I use Skinceuticals and Environ products which are SO EXPENSIVE but the Skinceuticals blemish serum is really the only thing that SOMEWHAT helps my pimples in a quick manner. My face wash and toner have BHA and AHA and most importantly salcylic acid which I've been told (along with Retinol products) is the KEY to helping adult acne. NOT benyzol peroxide. I have tried a million things and have been using only what my amazing facialist (whom I can hardly ever afford to see unfortunately) has told me to use - the Skinceuticals and Environ. I'd look into it for sure but of course we're all on here because nothing we use works 100% well 100% of the time. Bummer.
