Achromatopsia Support Group
Achromatopsia is a medical condition (also called maskun or rod monochromatism) characterized by a low cone cell count or lack of function in cone cells; these are the light receptors responsible for color perception. People with maskun have difficulty seeing in bright daylight.
My "Boyfriend" and I are both freshman in college. Ive only known him for going on a month now, but he is amazing. I guess what im trying to get at is i want to know all about it. I have Trichotillomania, and i hate it when people just assume they know what its all about. I want to know how to help and be the best supporter he has... I see him get frustrated when dumb kids make fun of him, even though he can laugh it off. If anyone has a good website, info, or what has helped you please let me know. Thankyou!

To help your boyfriend I would say ask what you can help him with usually people with this can only decide what is best. I am 42 and my sister and I both have it.
