i came out as gay 5 months ago and it went really well but now im finding it hard staying true to myself and feel like i have to conform to the stereotype "gay" look. since coming out i have had people saying to me " but you dont look gay. i have had my hair cut short since but not fot the first time, and people are interpretating it as me trying to look "dyke".
i have been known to be a girly girl before but now i find my interest in fashion is fading and i feel more comfortable in baggy jeans and cons, i used to wear heels and on a reason night out i just didnt feel comfortable any more and wore cons, im finding it very hard to figure out where i feel comfortable and if subconciously im trying to fit a label or am i really just finding myself?
i would love opinions on this thanks.

As you experiement with different things to find your style, there'll be
some disapproving looks (more change), but, if someone actually used the word, "dyke", I would let them know that I don't appreciate being labelled or insulted ... whatever negative feeling it caused you.
