First off, let me congratulate you on a relatively fast recovery from tib/fib fracture. My tib fib was open, it took 15 months to fuse and I still have chronic pain.
Fractures may show good healing on xray, but it takes 1-2 years for the fracture to fully ossify, so the second fall just added oil to the fire..
You have been traumatized pretty badly, especially by people not lifting your leg properly. I know what it felt like because they did the same thing to me. I am not a wuss when it comes to pain, but
Omg.. When this was done to me, they probably Heard me across the street. Breaking the leg was less painful than that.
It sounds like you may have PTSD and this needs intervention. You CAN get rid of it and function normally. I ve done this several
Times in my Life. This time was easier because I had counseling and psychiatry gave me some Benzos to help with panic attacks.
I am so sorry that you are going through this! It can get better.
What did they do for your leg this time? did they just make you NwB again?
Hope you heel quickly again.
"I broke my leg and had to be in a cast for 9 weeks, yours must not be THAT bad"
One time I had an airport gate agent tell me I couldn't have a wheelchair to the gate because people who have broken legs have casts. And they need to reserve the chairs for people who need them. Not people carrying around crutches to get a "free ride."
The accident has shown me the worst of the worst out of people. It has also led me to meet some of the kindest, selfless, amazing and helpful people. I never would have imagined the kind of help from people I have relieved. Few and far between are the poor souls that know everything and refuse to expand their mind. Bless their hearts.
Ignorance.. I am So sorry you had to deal with that!
Good luck and recover soon from that second accident so you can have a fresh and stronger start:)
