I lived with my current boyfriend before for a few months before having to move out for financial reasons and he and I only did it maybe 3 times the whole time I was there because he kept turning me down to play video games or he felt bad that day. A relationship should not have to have sex in it cause sometimes relationships even marriages don't have sex in them at one point for many reasons it's just what's important to you in the relationship and about communication. Talk to your partner about it.

Hi everyone. If we put higher ideals (like selfless love) in a relationship and commitment, more important things, other than sex, will become at the core of a relationship.

I have been in marriage for five years and last time my husband and I had sex was 2 years ago and I'm not happy about it. We usually do it twice or thrice a month. I am wondering why he's not asking for it or maybe he is just busy doing his work but 2 years for Petes sake! And I don't know if he noticed it or what. I don't even know if he's aware that he has a wife or he's in a marriage! I actually just went to a ladies night last night and we discussed this topic. I am all about putting other things at the top of your relationship as opposed to making sex the priority. However, I do believe sex is a special connection that should be shared in a marriage. And if your spouse is not sharing that connection, you may need an outside source to begin to piece together the disconnect. A discussion does need to be had. If not with the two of you then in the presence of a therapist or counselor to get to the root of the problem. But I do not believe you should prolong the situation. This is causing more issues in your communication which is another essential part of a marriage. Each couple is different and every marriage is different, so do what you believe will work best for yours. Be it the advice for spicing up the bedroom, having a discussion, or your own method. I had the same problem after being married 12 years then for 7 years no sex at all. we ended up getting divorced. it was his fault. he kept giving me excuses so I said enough is enough. I now hate sex sad to say.

My wife and I have been married for just over 5 years and I don't remember the last time we had sex. Neither of us has attempt to "getting things going" so to speak, but honestly, I no longer find myself physically attracted to her and so I don't want to try to initiate sex.

I have tried to encourage / help her to lose weight and we just talked about if she would go to a gym / personal trainer regularly if I gave that to her as a Christmas present and she said she would.

I can only hope that she does and she loses weight and I find her physically attractive again.

I love my wife otherwise - we still have lots of fun together and our relationship is otherwise great. She has never been one to initiate sex so its not like she has been trying to initiate it and I've been turning her down so in that sense it hasn't caused fights or anything but I do miss that level of physical intimacy.

The only question I would be asking myself: is there something or what is up with me? Part of being loved requires intimacy of love making kind, and if this isn't happening then maybe you are not loved by your husband at all.

If you desire it and he doesn't then the odds are he has a problem either with or without you. Be careful though that start blaming yourself because from where I sit you would be wasting your time doing so.
