Abstinence & Celibacy Support Group
The pressures of sex from peers, the media and culture can be overwhelming, but you are in total control of your body and celibacy is a choice that many are making. Find sanctuary with people who are choosing to abstain without fear of judgment.
Hi i'm new to this site and I have been searching long and hard for a celibate support group. I have been celibate now for almost three years, and I can say I feel liberated. Refreshed. Choosing to be celibate was an easy choice. Living here in NY it is difficult for me to be myself and be accepted as my true self. It seems uncommon for black women to be celibate. Its taken lightly and with men who hold these false narratives that they think are factual! Factual that when a woman claims to be celibate is a lie. She's just not that into you or, she is possibly sleeping with other men. Just ridiculous. What I want to from both men and women, do you continue to date while being celibate, or just stay all by your lonesome?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
But taking sex out of the equation doesn't diminish emotional needs. Stay all by my lonesome? I even have the skills to make that proposition tempting, but I've learned the hard way that homo sapiens are a gregarious species, by nature. People need people, whether I like it or not. Even me. . . Damn!!!
I'm deliberately clueless on dating protocols, but. . . It seems to me that the simplicity of celibacy opens more emotional doors than it closes.
Yes, homo sapiens is gregarious by nature; there are a tiny few who aren't, who prefer their solitude.

Does celibacy open more emotional doors? I dunno.
