The pressures of sex from peers, the media and culture can be overwhelming, but you are in total control of your body and celibacy is a choice that many are making. Find sanctuary with people who are choosing to abstain without fear of judgment.
If I had waited, I would have not given in to the first one that came along. It's always the pressure of others that causes one to break one's commitment to oneself.
I, for one highly recommend waiting. Get to know yourself and what your likes and dislikes are, what you are willing to endure or not. I've been celibate for ten years and I love it.
Sure, there are times, very few mind you when I think about breaking my celibacy but when I remember all I had to put up with and give up, such as time for myself and other nifty goodies, I remain on my resolve.
Mind you, I did this for myself and I have not looked back one iota. As I told a friend of mine, I frankly do not see a reason why I should have a relationship, I do better alone. I even have my crock pot on three settings: low, high and who needs a woman.
I frankly never bought into the "you need someone else to be happy" mindset.
I have always been very independent so I personally do better alone. It was not easy, at first but once I erased that idiotic programming that said that I would never been happy alone, that I needed someone else, and looked at the ever increasing benefits of being celibate, it ceased to be a struggle. It did not happen overnight but it eventually stopped being an issue.
My two cents,

My point is right now you might feel "behind" everyone else, or like prude, but guys who judge you for that aren't worth the trouble. Wait for a guy who likes you no matter what tings you have or haven't done.
