There is no shortage of paper (i think this used to be an expression in the old days, first half of the 1900's - back when humans used paper and pens instead of computers (I still use paper and pen a lot). The point was to write all thoughts, its called stream of consciousness writing...just write it all out and then worry about making it smaller LATER. Whatever is left over can probably be used for a paper or play or something for something else at another time, but never try to focus your thoughts right away.
Give yourself a lot of breadth and room to really chow down on anything floating around in that brain of your's and write it all down. Never worry about making everything fit into small spaces or sound perfect, just flow; if its narrow, it will ruin you and you will hate creating, learning and words if you do that.
another piece. this is from a seasoned court reporter outside the courthouse when i first started court reporting school. i can actually picture the day, typical northeast, overcast and dreary. lol. he was supposed to be advising us on court reporting because its a field that has a 75 percent drop out rate in cr school and a 50 percent drop out rate in the field. (high heart attack rate, so people leave the field by age 40 generally). this reporter was older - close to fifty i think, though even he was getting ready to move on, and working less. no trials, just depositions, that kind of thing.
he says, you have to have BALANCE in life. a little of everything is fine, but a LOT of anything isn't. doubt very much he knew what an impact he made, but its one of the things i always try to remember. you learn this again if you study nursing. its called homeo stasis. you have to have that balance. anything extreme is bad for you mentally, physically, emotionally....etc. good to know.
Mom told me:
1. You do not need a man to be a person.
2. You do not need babies to be a fulfilled woman.
Saved me a LOT of grief in my teens and later life.
Gramps told me
"When you're old, you won't remember things. You'll remember pepole and what you did."
"when a man/woman does something against a woman, ask him/her now, if that were a man, would you have done/said the same thing."
it really puts it all in place, when you do that.
