I work at a retail store where they have credit and debit cards. The store wants us, cashiers, to push their debit cards to every customer that comes through. I haven't gotten any in 3 shifts and it is making me really anxious. In fact, I'm getting to where I hate going to work because of this. I'm anxious my whole shift unless I get a card. Please pray that I will get cards and that my anxiety will go away.'
Thanks.
Thanks.

Like Roger says relax. Find your inner confidence. With God on your side recommend them with confidence. Remember that you have to get so many no's before you get a yes. I was a sales manager. That is called a hit rate. It would be represented like 1 in 17. That would mean you need to get 17 no's before you get a yes. Companies use hit rates to judge the success of most things sold. Remember that your boss knows you will get no's. That's part of the hit rate. Just think after you get a no you are that much closer to a yes. The yes's will come after you do the no's. Please stay possitive. Don't take a no personal. A no is part of doing bussiness. Think of my 1 in 17 example. 17 times you will here no before you here a yes. Thats just the math behind it. Keep your confidence high. Show enthusiastic for it and you will win. I know you can do it. You just have to hear no first and then not let it hurt you. It is always hard at first to sell something new. In time more yes's come. It's all about your confidence. I know you can do it!

A debit card is really no different that a credit card in fact it is easier. With a credit card you have to verify there signature and ask for id , with a debit you just enter the amt they take the machine and they do it all themselves then you just exit or end transsactioon at the end. You'll be fine I found credit cards to be way harder and people get snarky with credit cards if they get refused. So not to worry okay. Just for information sake how do most people pay in Canada it is mainly debit cards. Rarely do people use credit any more. Good luck I will pray for you. isabee
I hope things have become better for you. I have faith you will get it. When I first started selling things to people with a cold offer it was hard. A cold offer meaning it wasn't what they came in for. With practice you will feel more comfortable doing it. Please remember the people that say no are not mad at you. They know it is part of your job. They also expect it. Like if people are in line and they hear you offer to one person but not the next. They may say why didn't you offer it to me? People expect it. Some say yes. Others say no. I know you will make it. Selling is all about high's and lows. You get that rush after you just got a sale. Then you get that low after someone says no. That is the nature of selling. If I could work I would go back into sales. Nothing beats that rush when you get the sale.
