Hurt.. What am I suppose to do?
shygirl18
My Mom, and grandma just came all the way from canada to texas. The whole time they have hurt me told my husband things that I was never told and to top it say that i stole. I wouldn't do anything like that. They have got on us about everything even when we try to make them happy they still pick at it. They say i need help for depression but since i left home I've been happy stopped self harming. and now i just want to do that again since they've been down. they treat me like i'm a little girl still. but i just had a son about a month ago and i married a good guy and we've been happy till they came down. we made a mistake yesterday and now it's our faults for it but they just wont leave it be. my husband feels bad but I told him it was an accident and we were very lucky that all we had to replace were bottles. I hate how there making him feel. What am I suppose to do and say to them?

Try to speak gently but maintain your self respect. The Bible says a soft answer turns away wrath.
I am sorry this is happening to you. I hope its something rare, about the role reversals of becoming a grandma and greatgrandma. But if this is typical, then we cant say having a new baby has created a new problem. I still struggle to get along with my 82 yr old mom. Hugs.
Others may have better advice than me. When are they leaving??
God Bless you and your family.
May God guide you to sweet victory.
The Mom Factor is an easy to read informative book and also leads the reader through the steps of reconciliation with Mom were that to be a choice. I have used that book to reconcile the sharp edges between my daughter and me that had been carried over from my mother and me. There is a workbook for self-study that can also works in a group.
Oh, so many good things await after reading these books! Wonderful stuff happens inside the reader and sets up a whole new action, far healthier, whether or not Mom and Grandma agree. Near or far, the concepts behind the Mom factor has a far reaching grasp--strangle hold or hug--and makes a difference in raising your own child.
Prayers for you and yours.
I'll keep all of you in my prayers..
Gentle hugs and God Bless..
