Little child of mine,
I want you to know
I am the One who paves
The pathway you go.

I am the One who began
A good work in you,
I am the One who will
Complete this work too.

So never fear
That you are all alone,
For every step you travel
Is also my own.

It is in My strength
That you breathe and live;
You move according
To the grace I give.

It is in My wisdom
You feel inspiration;
It is through My joy
You embrace celebration.

It is in My love
That your name I call,
And in My mercy
I lift you when you fall.

So remember this, child,
As you walk on your way,
I am smoothing your path
Every moment, every day.

This work I have begun
I will surely complete;
I will make you like Me,
Your joy infinitely sweet.

So little child of mine,
Please always know
My love is paving for you
This pathway you go.
