biopolar effected faith major !!! help

zenmrzlu
Hey Yall,
Many of Yall know that I lived w my aunt that has bipolar for 14 yrs and it has effected me greatly not only in my personality but as well as in my faith even more I had many notes that periods of times where I just wanted to kill my self in order to get away from this bipolar effect but I would never carry out what I said cause I knew if I did I would go to hell. So I got married now but I am recovering from all of those yrs where she abused me spiritually . She called me every bad word in the bible! And as time grew on I was continually fighting to keep my faith strength and not weaken but over the yrs of continually battling this and still ar but in a not head on way I've gotten soo weak and during that time of living w my bipolar aunt I actually started to believe those things she said to my face as well as what she did to me in the church I was in like go running and telling other ppl in the church my soo called problems which weren't anything but to her they were like extremely bad when it really wasn't anything at all! So here I am she made me believe and feel like I have failed and can't do anything right in christianity all together and now I feel like I don't fit in anymore. So my question is can u be a Christian Buddhist? I just feel like I NEED a fresh start in a new kinds alternative Christian religion .

As for me, my faith will only be directed by the Holy Bible.
I know that you suffered ...and for that I am so sorry, but please remember that Jesus loved us (YOU) enough to die for all of us.... The Bible gives us the direction we need.
God Bless...........
You may be feeling like "God, where WERE you when she was doing this to me???" Fortunately, God lets us choose our own actions. Your aunt choose poorly, intentionally or unintentionally.
Your scenario reminds me of havign to deal with my sister. She has diagnosed mental illnesses but isn't getting any kind of treatment. In the interim, I can't have a conversation with her that doesn't include her obsession with demons and repentance. I believe she feels a LOT of guilt in her life and the only way she can cope is to make sure that everyone else is saved. I think it redeems her in her own mind.
Unfortunately, her "zeal' has put a wedge between her and everyone else because she is one of those people who shove religion down your throat. She stands out on street corners dressed from head to toe in camoflauge with a bullhorn in her hand screaming REPENT at people on the sidewalk.
Her two kids won't talk to her. My kids avoid her. My dad avoids her. I'm trying not to avoid her, but I'm sick of hearing about Leviathon and witchcraft demons.
Ultimately, I just have to keep forgiving her. I don't know whether her barbs are intentional or part of mental illness. Only God truly knows the heart.
I said all that to say this: God is who He is all by Himself. Don't blame Him for anyone's shortcomings. Those belong to us and we have to be willing to give those up to God so that He can change those things about us. We can't do it on our own.
He still loves you and wants to see you whole and healed.
Much love
Michele
