I really believe if you listen to preaching it would lift your spirits and set your spirit on fire. I use to have Christian music playing thinking it soothed the savage beast, but when I went thru really low times, I found the word of God was what helped. It really is living and will not return void. I hope you will give it a try and see if it doesnt help you too. May God bless you, and welcome to the group. :)
Here is a radio station I have playing most times myself, even when I'm not always listening. I just listened to the La campmeeting on it and you know people pay to go to those and I hear it free in my living room. Another big camp meeting is coming up soon too. I hope you will try it. http://www.holyghostradio.com/
good advice everyone!
Oh, why was I kicked out? Because they do not allow children in the sanctuary. So, I went to the cry room with my grandson. I was already upset that they forbid children. I grew up where kids were always welcome and the the preachers could still be heard. Well, I held the baby in front of the window, it was at the back right side of the church. I wanted him to hear the uplifting music, and sing with "grandma". Then we sat down, and it was so dark in there, so I put the light on, the baby could not play with his toys in the dark. An usher came in and flipped the light off, told me I was breaking the rules. I asked him, you expect a baby to sit in the dark? He said, yeah, we were disrupting the others in the sanctuary. I told him, well, heaven forbid that someone see a grandma with her grandchild trying to teach him to worship the lord. He then escorted me out and locked the door.
So, yeah, that was the 2nd time I have been kicked out due to having a child. The first time was many years before, I had my own child, a nursing newborn, who had to stay with me.
So, I'm big on kids, and will always remember the story in the Bible, a picture stays in my head, to Bid the little children to come unto me. That's how I feel.
do to my agoraphobia i cannot attend just yet but will one day with Jesus on my side.
