Have been reading in other posts about how people dumped their grog when they decided to get sober.
When I decided to get sober I had a full slab of beer (24 cans) in the fridge, whisky in the cupboard, wine in the rack and the old emergency cooking sherry in the pantry. I know, I know yuk lol.
All this grog sat in my home for several years and got whittled down as people came over and had a drink. Not once did the thought of having grog in the house tempt me.
During my last drunk I did surrender I remember sitting drinking like I did and thinking to myself I can not do this anymore, I am going to die if I keep going this grog has got me by the b...s I need help. I woke up in the morning and did not feel like a drink and that was a first for me. Normally when I have a hangover the first thing I wanted in the morning was the hair of the dog lol.
How many others did not throw out the grog.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I dumped mine all right.Right down my throat.I think it came back up,though.(I don't remeber!)
i just dont drink it.
The sight of it dont bother me,
the smell makes me want some sometimes, but i havent so far.
Been told at AA, its risky being around drink and drinkers, i try to avoid it if i can, but we live in a alcohol fuelled society dont we.
I finished off everything before I went to treatment. I have to tell you that it was the same when I quit smoking - my sister and I decided to give up at the same time. She gave up in 27 feb 1998but I gave up the next day 'cos I still had some left!
