Acceptance. Avid right now I'm stuck just short of it

Never considered neutrality as a spiritual principle before but I think I quite like it!

Altruistic love or the policy of "do no harm" is at the top of my list of spiritual principles. If I come from that feeling it has a knock-on effect with other principles such as tolerance, patience, sharing and caring.

Equally important to me are consistent efforts to stop thoughts and behaviours that feed my ego. Also reminding myself that I am a common all-garden variety alcoholic which goes a way to remind me of what humility means. I do well, less well and sometimes badly depending on the time of day you catch me. My main struggle right now is to be patient and tolerant with those who love me, those who I know I can "get away with" less than great behaviour.

Two sayings I always loved from my sponsor are 'do the next right thing' and 'stand firm in your beliefs'

Not sure this is spiritual principal but the saying I cringed when my sponsor said is 'how sober do you want to be'. When my sponsor said that I knew I wasn't gonna like it!!!!

I'm having a hard time with humility, and therefore, I feel it is the most important to me right now. Without humility I am less willing to be willing, open minded and honest.
