i've been sober close to 3 yrs....went back out drinking when i found out i had hepc...sobered back up and called my sponsor for a ride to a meeting...she never called me back to let me know...can't get a voice on the phone at the central office so i have been staying sober for 3 yrs with only the support of ds....my question is...where is all this service work and twelve stepping i've been hearing soooooo much about for the last 40 yrs....i'm no stranger to aa but this town is rediculous...and its a military town...i do hope that this problem is only in my town and not all over aa....people are dying out there...i know i'm venting but i sure could use some support sometimes other than the internet...any suggestions
In relation to your own situation as is said "Where there's a will, there's a way". You will be able to find a way to get involved in AA again if that is what you want.
I really hope you do as you will be missing out on so much good stuff if you dont and other people will be missing out on the experience, strength and hope that you could bring.
We can bow to Godâ??s will in anticipation of the thing happening which will, in the long run, be the best for all concerned.
It may not always seem the best thing at the present time, but we cannot see as far ahead as God can.
We do not know how His plans are laid, we only need to believe that if we trust Him and accept whatever happens as His will in a spirit of faith, everything will work out for the best in the end.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may not ask to see the distant scene. I pray that one step may be enough for me.
Keep praying, keep doing the next "right" thing - the answers will come
