I believe this 100%. What's your take on the subject?

To me it's very true
Why do some folks become alcoholics
and some do not.
Alcohol became an escape from a self center delusion of reality
that ends in a physical addiction to alcohol.
Poor me, I'm right you are wrong, can't you see thing my way and if only I could.
When I become overly concerned with me and my wants, an emotional upheaval takes place
as I place unrealistic demands on others. My intentions where good but my demands destroyed
any good there was.

To me that is true. My spiritual malady was the problem and using alcohol to treat it made alcohol a symptom.

To me it refers to the "risanity preceeding the first drink". Despite the maybe hundreds of times that drinking has caused chaos and hurt to others and self, intelligent people succumb yet again. And then of course comes the insanity of the things we do when drunk, but it's really about tha mindstate preceeding the first drink and that's where we need a program, steps, fellowship, HP to intercede at that vulnerable moment preceeding the first drink and once we have caught hold od sobriety, we need to use those tools for the rest of our lives to prevent that insanity preceeding the first drink. And it works.

I am alcoholic....so the alcohol was the solution to my problems until it stopped working for me....that led to the disfunctioning of alcoholism....

For years I've denied this to be my truth even though every "expert" would say I was a perfect candidate because of my childhood. I always claimed my drinking started as a teen to party and have fun.
But when I started being honest with myself and taking a good look at when I took my first drinks, I was 12 years old and snuck alcohol every now and then ( got a little drunk ) for the only reason to escape/cope with the hell life was at home.
I now accept this to be my truth.

Even when I got sober, the problem as with everyone else, and the alcohol. This is where the work started. With me.
