The very real pain of emotional difficulties is very hard to take while trying to maintain sobriety. Yet , we learn , in time that overcoming such problems is the real test of the programs way of living. Do I believe that adversity gives me more opportunity to grow than does comfort or sucess?

They say adversity gives ya character, "If I had anymore character, I'd be a cartoon."~I do believe adversity brings opportunity for growth. I have, through the course of my life, had lots of challenges, and when I was drinking I was just in reaction mode. I was unable to grow. I have the Faith Today that by weathering the storms of life in a clean and sober way, things will work out.At least I won't be contributing to the problem, I have the hope of being an active participant in life.~Lesley.

I believe this too, but looking back in early sobriety, I could not see any of this. I became a child and needed guidance. My sponsor, counsellors and friends helped walk me through the pain. And thank God for my willingness to go to any lengths to achieve sobriety. Nowadays, yes, when there is work to be done, I do it, when there is pain to be had, I feel it knowing that 'it shall pass'. And none of this is possible without faith. Nice reflection Billy :}

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
