I also like "a place to start" because it does have hope but it is also open to alternatives in healing. good start, good foundation.

I think AA friends or Friends of AA would be great.

Personally, I think 'AIAno' resembles Alanon

I like CM's name, too. I have a couple of ideas:

"aa for dummies". lol I know it won't do, but it cracks me up.

Or "simply aa".

I agree with m8bear that AlAno might be confused with Alanon, and newcomers won't know what the heck it means.

Gjm.....how about coming up with four suggestions and then people voting on one post as to what one they like? Then the majority gets it.

I love it! I'm so glad this group has been started. We can make this group a safe and healing place for all AAers, and those thinking of joining. :-) I just want to share the message and be helpful.

I didn't notice the new name on top. aa a place to start with friends & fellowship. I love it! that gets my vote.
