I'm working Sat. & Sun. Going to AA and church. Other than that, just chillin also. We haven't been to church in awhile and I have wanted to go back. We attend a church called "Mercy Street." The minister and staff are all in recovery. You can attend AA meetings there as well- and Alanon. It's just so far from our home! The drive is terrible! I am pretty excited to go back:)

Well I'm gonna be honest here...after I heard of our friend Reed's condition this afternoon, I did NOT feel like baking cakes for my AA cookout tomorrow at all and even thought about not going.

Then I remembered that he fussed at me last time I chickened out of a cookout and promised I would make this one & meet some new friends!!

So I just baked 2 german chocolate cakes with caramel & toffee and will be at that cookout with bells on tomorrow night come hell or high water cause I don't want to be fussed at again! :)

There ya go. See Shelly your taking some direction, which turns into growth. Life on life's terms. Like I told you in a PM, these are times you find out where you really are in recovery.

It's Saturday night do do do do do do do do do do...

I felt a bit flat too Shelly. Didn't feel like checking out the board, or doing much cheering today, but then I thought of the last chat I had with my 'chemo-sabie', and his inspiration was enough for me to say 'GOYA Coogee'. So I did.

Busy too, hockey game, gymnastics comp, just got back from Church (special prayers today), and now I'm about to barbie a nice piece of grain fed prime beef Angus rump Mm Mm. Sunday is athletics, and then HOUSECLEAN!!! with some boppy music. SHELLY!! I'm hearing about these german chocolate cakes all the time now. Might have to try one myself (that will be a challenge). I still like to lick the bowl.

But I'm with you guys for a little 'chill' time too. :}

Spent a lot of time with other alkies this weekend so far! My son and his mates came over to my place for a barbecue early evening last night. We sat around the fire with candles and talked until gone midnight when they decided to drive back home.

Today lots of washing and ironing, tidying up the house and making plans for the week ahead. How did I ever make time to drink and be "out of it."? Lol
