I was going through my friends list since i have been here since 07. i have deleted some that we just didn't click so the one's I have is one's that had a personal relationship so to speak. I was thinking about deleting some I have not heard from in sometime but I could not. Some are back out in the madness and thinking possibly they might show back up for some support. I see some have 100 or 200 friends and wonder why but that's just me. I came here for support and most importantly to help others. I have gained friendships around the world and see them and me grow through time that's the cool part someone that's hurting comes stays, and grows.

One thing i seen early on that it does not matter what part of the world your from this disease treats everyone the same wants to kick your ass.

Whats your thoughts on the subject??

I would not want to delete anyone - I might end up in prison! Lol. Seriously though, I have some people on my friends list who have seemingly disappeared or with whom I have had conflict. If I am spiritually well, I don't bear grudges or resentments though my feelings may have been hurt at the time.

Most people on that list don't contact me directly much at all but there may come a day when we can help each other, so they stay - no matter what. I have put people on ignore for a while but always remove that soon after the problem dies down.

Pressed "submit" too fast! The best thing of all is that I have, like you gjm, seen people come on here who are suffering badly and yet they are well today! Not directly because of DS, the recovery came from their commitment to a programme of action, but it is a medium that has enabled so many of us to meet, learn and gain direction to where we can get further help.

I would like to thank DS and all you great people as we help each other in this never-ending learning process.

I have requested friendships from very few people. Most request mine -- and I wouldn't turn anyone down. That doesn't mean I'm in touch with each and every one of them - some people come here one or two days and are never heard from again. I'll still be here if/when they come back looking for support. It takes more than just not stroking my ego for me to delete someone.

My experience is similar to Jan's. I've had many who have disappeared, but I'd hate to delete them in case they return.
