Gosh Billy, there can be a lot in on sentence. Nothing we see or hear is perfect, or read for that matter. Everything that exists in this world is imperfect (except for chocolate). It would be 'my' thoughts and expectations if I believed some thing, person or place could be perfect, and that's not healthy (I have high expectations of chocolate). Perfect reality is 'as it is'.

I really like this. We addicts are perfectionists. It's the diseased thinking wanting to control people, places and things because we are afraid to lose control thinking our world might fall apart. This isn't true at all. Surrendering the ego through humility along with prayer and meditation helps us accept the reality of the moment. We need to stop trying to be perfect and just keep it simple.

I like that Dreaming. We were perfectionists, and refused to see any reality at all. Everything was roses in our 'perfect world'. Complete denial of the reality of what was happening in and around us. This would have carried over to sobriety too, but for the rigorous honesty we had in Step 4.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
