Funnily enough, I was reading an article on asexuality - the first one I'd ever come across and it actually featured a report on a sexless marriage. There is a website www.asexuality.org for contact with other asexuals. We are all brought up to meet expectations set by other people so that when we don't we tend to feel that it is something lacking in ourselves. Being asexual does not make you any less a person.

Finally a place with people that understand what it is like to be repulsed by sex!I have many other issues and disorders and mental illnesses and they are all apart of me and each other (make sense?) As for the sexless marriage I am living in one now and it is pure hell. I hate sex ..my husband loves it. I love my husband but am discovering that my marriage is coming to an end. I explained to him the very first day (am a very homest person) That I had no real interest in sex and asked if he could handle that. I also told him about all my other health problems at the same time. He, of course, told me that he could deal with it. We have been together for 5 yrs and married for almost 2yrs. And there hasnt been a month gone by that we havent fought about my not performing my duties to him. We havent slept in the same bed in over a month and my skin crawls everytime he touches me. The only physical contact I can stand is from my children. I wasnt always like this (obviously not since i have 3 kids) but use to love and enjoy sex. I lost my desire for sex when I lost my soul mate to the marine corps almost 11 yrs ago. I keep wondering what is wrong with me...why do I feel this way....why cant my husband just accept me like he said he would? It is a nightmare to love someone but hate to be touched by him. Ok wow I feel a lil better now. Thanks for starting this group I didnt even know that how I felt had a name and knowing that it does somehow makes it easier to live with...or atleast until the next big fight comes around. I'm in some of the same way, the drugs have empared my sex drive, but more than that becasue of an abusive husband and been raped 5yrs ago i have no interest in sex at all and have no feeling of wanting a man or a woman to touch me. I am very ill and sex hurts my body , and i don't desire it or the thought repules me. Wen i see a happy couple it doesn't make me sad becasue that person necessaritly isn't goining to be there tomorrow for them...i've only been able to coun't on myslef in this life. I always wanted children and tryied to concieve with my ex husband but i'm infertal, i think i;'m meant to be alone...trust has gone out the window. When i was younger the sex i had was always drunk sex or high sex, i just feel dead inside.

I have been this way for years. I was sexually molested at a young age for several yrs and as a teen I was very promiscuous. After my first child was born it all died, I almost died while giving birth and after my 2nd child my system collapsed warranting a hysterectomy as I couldn't stand the pain. I still had sex but it always turned my stomach, I found it repulsive. I sometimes like to be hugged but I like my space. It's really hard for me as my fiance wants to have sex but I just can't do it. I don't have the desire, I get repulsed by the thought of it and he knows this. It causes a lot of strain and stress. What is worse is that I do care for him but if he was to leave I wouldn't care. I don't know what love is and if I actually do then I have obviously been in the wrong relationships. I hate sex and want no part of it. I really don't know what to do!

i wouldn't get jealous at all. most people don't have much of a sex life and the smiling face or facade is just that a facade. they are being polite. you aren't missing anything. in life and alllll people, once you peel the onion it starts to reek. people have all kinds of crap going on in their lives. just going to facebook memes like knowledge of today, you find a lot of memes about that. hilarious.

try dancing or massage or sport of some sort. if humans need touch, that would be enough touch anyway. if you need affection, a horse to ride or a dog or cat etc., life is easier without a lot of human complications.
