My son got an award tonight.

My 19 year old son, Josh, got an award from his school for turning around his grades and life from when he had cancer.  He never got into trouble or anything like that, but his ADD has always been so bad that he didnt' even know how smart he was  until he got into the school he's in now and started making A's and B's.  He was also recognized for the community service he has done through his school and his teacher told us tonight how much she loves having Josh in class.  Josh also got an internship that he's starting in one week working at a computer company fixing computers.  He will get paid and earn course credit while he works.  I am so proud of Josh.  He has not had en easy life at all but now it is all paying off.  And he has a wonderful girlfriend whose family loves Josh.

If I could leave a billion "hearts" on your post I would...how Wonderful for Josh, and for all the struggles he, and your entire family have been through to see this turn around! Doing a Happy Dance from my couch :) Best to you and yours! ml

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...

    Has anyone heard from Jenn, she had an adult son with aspergers, Eric, they lived a long time with her grandmother, then they moved into an apartment. She had a funny little picture if I recall of a short dark haird woman as part of her name in a red dress.There are so many people who have dropped away from this room...I wonder where they are, and miss them.
