A place to share your life without fear of judgment. Community Group
I want a place for friends to meet up and share what is going on in their lives, good or bad. Without judgement and hopefully a lot of laughter.
First time posting (venting)
Although I am 71 years old, I am bored with the typical "senior activities". I did join the Canasta Club because I learned the game as a 9 year old child and it brought back some of the more pleasant side of my dysfunctional family life. One of the canasta players here in the senior bldg. is 86 and I think she's going into dementia. Or maybe she was a spoiled brat and a know-it-all even when she was younger!!! She did something outrageous last time I went to play with the group. In a loud, shrill, accusing voice she began yelling at me because on a previous occasion I did not want to play a second game. She bawled me out in front of the whole group. I was astonished, angry. I felt like telling her off, but she is superannuated (VERY old) and also I didn't want to stoop to her level. So I took the high road. I simply got up and left. We had been friends for several years already. If she had called to apologize, it would have been OK. But I haven't heard from her since. She is a terrible "motor mouth", never happy unless she is complaining, venting. (I am venting here on DS, but I know she is venting to anyone who will listen!!!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
