This group's purpose is to raise SIDS and sudden infant death awareness in addition to creating a support system to parents who have lost an infant suddenly, although this is a local group my dream is to see Nick's legacy grow.

As for my community, I do hope that none of you will ever have to join it.
Group name: Hepatitis c community.
Founder: Daily Strenght. "This is no sub forum, it is a community by DS"
Description: Member who are diagnosed with the virus, that needs help knowing what to do next.
Comments: DS Team, has nominated me, Mckenzie to represent this community due to the fact, that since being diagnosed in 2000., I have been working on several support groups for this Silent Killer of a virus.
So with all the experience I brought to the site, they decided that I would be good at helping those who were registering to the community.
When I first got here over 2 years ago, it was like a ghost town community.
Members would come in, ask questions, and leave.
Now we are hundred and hundred of friends, that talk to each other daily.
We are a tight knit family.
Just yesterday, we were told by a family member, that one of my old friend/member passes away on January 27th.
It is a sad time in our community at this time.
But we all pray for our darling Warrior friend.
She is now in peace.
So I am very proud of my group, and we have the greatest bond any community would love to have.
So there you go Beaumont, this is my story re: communities.

ps: I should note, that both my husband and I both did the year long chemo treatment for hep c, and we are both free of the virus.
For myself, it's been 5 years, and my husband, 7 years.
There is hope out there, everyone should be tested for this, since I had never had a blood transfusion, or used IV drugs, so you never know.
I know I was very surprised upon being diagnosed.
So get tested, better safe than sorry.

Our group is about using self mastery to cope with stress/anger issues through use of the STOP-4 step program and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. The thought is that if we believe in a core of innate worthiness for all people and in the mindset that what others do or say is about them and not about ourselves we can get through this life with less anger and resentment and more peace and understanding.
My main group(s) is a church I started online here Sept. 22, 2008. To accommodate the needs of the members I created new rooms that were designed specifically for those needs. Since the birth of this church I now have the following rooms-

Is for prayer needs.
Answered Prayer 24/7 Ministry:
Is for praise to show how God answered the prayers from the prayer room so we can keep that room reserved for current prayer needs.
Christian Beginners QA 24/7 Ministry:
Is for those who are new to the Christian faith to get their questions answered.
Missionary Notes 24/7 Ministry:
Is for reports on missionaries. I have 2 in my family and one of the members of the church is also a missionary.
Discussion Group 24/7 Ministry:
Is for people to come together to have FRIENDLY discussions about different topics.
Christian Fellowship 24/7 Ministry:
Is a place for us to just have some good clean fun. We have an awesome ongoing pot luck with over 160 comments on that one post! What can I say we love to eat! :)
I also started "Grieving Grandparents" as a place for grandparents who are working through grief to come and share that grief with other grandparents.
I also started "butterfly garden" in honor of a friend that I love very much. It is a place of sheer quiet beauty where butterflies abound and their symbolism is celebrated.
When I am able to resolve my computer issues, I look forward to continue ministering to others. It is so hard that right now I am unable to do all I want to do!
