Fun Fact: One hobo who traveled the United States writing his name on everything was J. B. King. His real name was Leon Ray Livingston. He was born in San Francisco, California in 1872, and took to the rails at age 11. He soon realized he was permanently trapped for life as a rail-riding hobo, but he knew that many other youngsters, both boys and girls, would run away from their homes as he had done, and possibly get killed on the trains, so he spent much of his time giving lectures about the evils of running away from home to lead a hobo’s life. He even wrote books about his adventures. Sadly, he inadvertently taught many young people how to hop freight trains while trying to teach them how to be survive and be safe. With the money from his books and lectures, he bought one-way tickets home for these kids. His greatest success story was that of a young runaway would-be hobo named Jack London, who returned home to lead the straight and narrow life as an author. Leon Ray Livingston died in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1944, and was buried in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania.

Two beggars are sitting on a park bench in Ireland. One is holding a cross and the other a Star of David. Both are holding hats to collect contributions. People walk by, lift their noses at the man with the Star of David and drop money into the hat of the man with the cross. Soon, the hat of the man with the cross is filled and the hat of the man with the Star of David is empty.
A priest watches for a while and then approaches the men. He says to the man with the Star of David, "Don't you realize that this is a Catholic country? You'll never get any contributions holding a Star of David."
The man turns to the one with the cross and says, "Moishe, can you imagine, this goy is trying to tell us how to run our business?"
