My issues are surviving high school. I'm on the bottom, almost, on the school hierarchy. I'm a computer nerd, I 'm not a jock. I do swim but we're not considered real jocks. We look to pretty. I'm also in the Yearbook, Drama and Chess club. That three social torpedoes! And lastly I'm gay. I should just lynch myself.
And to top it all off, I am smaller and skinny with no muscles--at least not football player muscles. I'm screwed. I try to keep my head down.
My experiences are quite similar to Pau from above as far as dating and trying to find a partner. Either I am attracted and they are not or visa versa. I have even met a few that were wonderful human beings, however, I had no attraction to them physically and really felt bad about it. As we all know, we have to have that certain amount of chemistry between two people for it to even begin to work. However, many times I have met the "hottest" guy in the world and the sex was just unbelievable, however, after getting to know him, yuk--what a jerk. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. And is only skin deep. It is what is behind the eyes that attracts me more than anything else and it is sooooo hard to find some one of the same sex, especially, who is looking for the same thing. Most all men want a quick release and that's it--done-gone. I have been there, done that, but since I have found out that I am HIV, a lot of changes have happend. That has slowed me down a lot and made me look at life in a different life. I know somewhere out there there is a match for me. Ya just never know when that will happen. So have learned to sit back and let nature take its course. It will happen when it is supposed to.
Also, djdave, when I see that beautiful face of yours on your pic, I have no issues. They all melt away. Take it as a compliment and nothing more, from a sweet, good hearted, "old man"
Inheartmzb..... I agree total lonliness... If you want to meet someone they just want sex and no one wants to commit. Everyone is looking for the better offer....
to be honest.. the only issue I get is people are surprised and girls are bummbed and I can also say it has oddly enough helped to make friends.
It is harder for me in regards to my family because I knew their thoughts on it all since before I decided I was going to come out... I am also not a small guyl... I am not sure if that has a huge role to play in it as well..
Everyone has so much pain. Sometimes it's hard to deal with all the sadness. I originally said self-loathing was my biggest issue. I think now, it's that I've given up on connecting with someone. It's all just too sad.
Its hard to understand where I fit in. I know I'm bi but being from rural nd I've only ever dated men though I've had sexual experiences with women. So when I tell people they either don't believe me or think I just haven't "decided" yet. It gets frustrating. Also its easier to be "straight" in this culture so I find it hard to stand up for my gay-ness...
I am openly gay in a small christian town. Trust me they don't like it lol. I don't let that stop me being who I am. The issue I face is every serious relationship I get involved in the parents end up causing major problems because of our lifestyle or my gf's have forgot there is a time when you leave the nest and allow their parents to get in the middle.
Trust is a big issue with me : If you do something and lose my trust it's hard for me to regain that trust in you again and that hurts me as much as it hurt's you. that's why I've been alone for the past 8 yrs. and it sucks to be alone for more the a week no less 8 yrs.
I live in a small twon where all my best friends and family are straight. Everyone says to my face they are ok with me being gay, but to some point I feel left out and rejected. I had a BF and had to stop seeing him, becuase of the bad looks and gossip. I have been advised to take my business out of town.
I have good freinds and great family, but I feel they are slowly pushing me into the closet again.
I rather be dead than go back inside the closet. I plan to move out of town, but not until I know my parents are well. They are currently going through some hickups in their health, but they are getting well.
