A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group
We survived child abuse, but the pain still remains and so do the other effects which can last a lifetime. We are often unable to find adequate help, and we are seeking answers that can help us understand what happened so that we can go on to lead normal lives. (Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...

Emotional neglect- parent refusing to give love and emotional support. Any emotional wanting of the child is ignored or meet with ridicule.
We should add physical abuse to this, because it happens as well. We all pretty much know the majors, like punching, slapping, beating, strapping, and so forth. Some people don't realize that shaking, shoving, pushing, tripping, being held down and tickled to the point of pain, spanking when it is sudden and the parent is enraged or when it leaves bruises, starvation, poisoning (I was reminded of the movie the Sixth Sense on that one), grabbing, and pulling are also forms of physical abuse.
-Forced observation of masturbation
-Shaming you into having sex
-Blaming you when you do
-Restraining and forcing a child into having sex
-Threatening children into having sex

This list is by no means complete, so please let me know what I've missed.
I just wanted to add that to the list.
DovesWings, sexual harassment is abuse. As a man, I myself have been sexually harassed in a workplace, and it was humiliating and made my job an agony. It is very difficult to stop sexual harassment. I moved on to another job.
-Creating an environment where it's unsafe to be yourself

Ritual Abuse
