Thank you for all your beautiful writings.....reading these has made me feel better. I am having a hard time right now. None of us are alone. This site is wonderful. I thought I could handle the horrific abuse that I endured as a child, but, now, I am feeling the reality and the results of said abuse on my body and mind. Do any of you think that our abusers will ever ''pay'' for what they had done? I do believe you do reap what you sow. What goes around comes around. Karma is a b----. However, my abusers said they were sorry after decades of denial, and then they go on with their lovely life, like nothing had ever happened. Living in a $100,000 condo, going on trips, happy as litttle clams, and they are never looking back...Great for them, not so good for me...I have 5 mental health disorders thanks to them, this does not seem to bother them at all. Is there ''karma'', will they ''reap what they sow''? Will karma ever bite them on the ass? I would like to know how others on this site feel about this? And, how do you handle this? I really do enjoy reading all the beautiful poetry.......

My Comfort Zone

I used to have a Comfort Zone
Where I knew I couldn't fail
The same four walls of busy work
Were really more like jail.

I longed so much to do the things
I'd never done before,
But I stayed inside my Comfort Zone
And paced the same old floor

I claimed to be so busy
With the things inside my zone,
But deep inside I longed for
Something special of my own.

I couldn't let my life go by,
Just watching others win.
I held my breath and stepped outside
And let the change begin.

I took a step and with new strength
I'd never felt before,
I kissed my Comfort Zone 'goodbye'
And closed and locked the door.

If you are in a Comfort Zone,

My Brother Survivors
We've hidden in the shadows long enough,
Some of us hiding, others acting tough
We try to remember the games we use to play,
But it was all for survival, the rest taken away

We all lost our innocence a long time ago,
It's now time to heal, let our sorrows flow
We're all haunted by the memories of our tragic pasts,
Hoping for Serenity, or a Happiness that will last

As we sit in this circle through thick and thin,
We may start to smile, laugh and grin,
As we start to find that child, somewhere, lost within

But remember my Brothers of what I'm about to say,
There is no such thing as an easier softer way
