I have another friend who grooms dogs for her friends, ones that don't mind she don't have a license, and she makes 10- 15 dollars from one dog.She loves to do it, loves dogs.
My daughter hauls scrap metal to the recycle place for so much a pound for what she brings them.
My sister used to make coffee and sell it by the cup at places like auctions, stock sales, etc.She had two big 50 cup coffee pots, foam cups, creamer and sugar and a pack of stir sticks. She made $25 to $50 at each event. She also sold hot chocolate.
My son in law fixes cars for people, small stuff, everyone knows he is good at small repairs and cheaper than going to the shop.He stays busy fixing cars all the time.I had him change my brakes, and oil, and spark plugs, I bought the parts. He was almost half the cost of the repair shop.It can save you a LOT of money to hire local folks who you trust, instead of hiring the professionals.
Paint mail boxes, bird houses, glass items, furniture, lamps with decorative art, and sell them.
I have found stuff in the trash, painted it and resold it many times.
I drove an ice cream truck for a couple yrs.
with my personality with kids & and the adults the kids didn't want ice cream from other drivers, the parents only trusted me. with their kids b/c alot of drivers had an attitude, wouldn't let a kid off a measly dime or occasional free candy.
sometimes ppl didn't have cash but i took their returnable 10cent soda cans/bottles, it was a hassle with the returnables but a happy child is worth it. I loved my job n kids .
but economy hit hard i had to quit with gas prices goin up .
but to sell unpackaged food you pay more for your permits & inspections.
you have to have the truck inspected by the police for safety issues to go to courthouse to get your permit.
inspection with police is free , but each city/town u work you need a venders permit. which can run $25.00 up to $1,000 . also for unpackaged foods hot dogs/ect. you need it inspected by health depo.
it can get expensive but if you have the right festivitys/canivals/ or drivin to factorys ect. it can be worth it.
