Mother Snake: No - why do you ask?
Baby Snake: Because I bit my tongue!
Having arrived at the edge of the river, the fisherman realized that he had forgotten to bring any bait. Just then he happened to see a little snake creeping by who had caught a worm. The fisherman snatched up the snake and and robbed him of his worm. Feeling sorry for the little snake with no lunch, he snatched him up again and poured some cold orange soda-pop down his throat, and then resumed fishing. An hour or so later, the fisherman felt a tug at his pantleg. Looking down, he saw the same snake with three worms in his mouth.
What did the snake give his date at the end of the evening?
A goodnight hiss.
Why can't you fool a snake?
Because they have no legs to pull.
If a snake and an undertaker got married, what would their towels say?
Hiss and Hearse.
What do snakes do after a fight?
They hiss and make up.

As a kid my dad liked to wade & play in the local creek.
He was wading & standing in there one day, after awhile he had noticed a water moccassin had wrapped itself around one of his lower legs. he told that he ever so slowly pulled his leg back & kicked. Said that snake went flying.
A neighbor of mine told me a story about how he was camping with his family at a park. He decided to go fishing with his young boy. They went out to dig for & gather worms. His young son went off a little ways to look for some. When he came back his father had a handful of worms. His boy said "those are nice worms dad, but yours dont bite", his dad looked in the boy's shirt pocket & confirmed that his son had gathered tiny baby rattlers & they had bitten him on the chest.
He got rid of them & took his boy to the nearest hospital.
The boy is a soldier in Iraq now.
