You Never Know
You no doubt heard about what Ike has done to Texas with all that destruction and loss of life. On the same day was a tradgedy much closer to home - the worst Metrolink train wreck of all time less than 10 miles from here. Due to the Metrolink engineer running a red light his train collided with a Union Pacific freight train with such force it actually pushed the locomotive inside the adjacent car which was full of innocent people who are now dead. And over 100 injured. This was the the 457 train that was due to turn around in Moorpark and go back. There was a lot of weeping and wailing in Moorpark. Its a good thing that I am no longer doing security at Moorpark Metrolink because the emotional fallout from that would have been horrific. I feel sad enough now because these were my friends and I know the conductors and engineer and some of the commuters. You never know when you're life will be over but so far Karen and I have successfully beat the dodgeball of death! We have been saved to serve while we still can, to help others less fortunate than us, which is most others. So may it be.Jack

I\'m so glad your ok. When I heard about the accident, I thought of you. It\'s such a horrible accident that probably could\'ve been prevented, but I\'m praying for everyone who is no longer with us and those who are suffering.
