You Can't Talk To Me That Way

Ugh I have a real love/hate thing going on with pay days.  Always really busy.  I and I always have to go into Lawton.  Congested parking lots scare the hell out of me.
I had to get up at five to take Lynn to work.  I ran into town and paid bills.  While I was at RAC I saw a laptop that I wanted so I called my husband.  He said if I wanted it to get it.  So spoiled.  Anyway it was a nice Toshiba with Windows Vista.  Haven't heard too many good things about that.  I road around with it in my car for about three hours before I finally called them and told them that I wanted one with Windows 7.  No problem. So I went back and got this pretty Sony Vaio.
When I got home I had a little of the Chinese takeout that I got for dinner so that I wouldn't have to cook.  Then I went over to my neighbor's house so that she could help me get started on this laptop.
It was finally time to pick up my husband.  When I did, we talked about my new computer.  I guess I didn't mention that I had traded.  He came in and went out to fix the lawn mower with the new parts I bought.  The were the right ones because I called him while I was there and had him tell the guy what I needed.  Anyway, by the time he had come back in because he needed more parts and a couple of bolts had broken; he was just in a pissy mood.  When he saw the bill that showed I took the first one back he got mad and started yelling.  Well, I yelled back.  Big mistake.  Anger is never cooled by more anger.
After he had been back outside for awhile, I went out and told him to come in and get cleaned up and have some supper.  When he had cleaned up and I fixed his tea and dinner I looked him in the eye and quietly said, "You can't talk to me like that.  And I can't talk to you like that.  Not if we love each ohter."  And then I came back in here and sat back down in my usual place.  A few minutes later he came in and kissed my cheek and asked if I would forgive him.
Guess we were both tired.  But fighting about little things doesn't help a marriage.  I'm glad we love each other enough to realize it.
